Tirzepatide is a prescription medication, the same ingredients as Zepbound and Mounjaro. Tirzepatide belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists that is administered weekly. Tirzepatide is a dual action GLP-1/GIP medication assist in regulating blood sugar levels in the body, metabolism, and appetite.
Tirzepatide works by mimicking the action of a naturally occurring hormone in the body called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP ( glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). These hormones help regulate blood sugar levels , appetite, and digestion. When Tirzepatide is administered, it stimulates the release and production of insulin, reduces the production of glucagon, reduces appetite, and slows the digestion of food.
At Salish Shore Wellness we understand that there are many options of Tirzepatide available on the market today. We want our clients to achieve their weight loss goals affordably, so we have chosen to only provide the most effective treatments options for our clients.
