 Salish Shore Wellness offers several prescription treatment options, including Sildenafil, Tadalafil, Vardenafil, Dual Action Sildenafil + Tadalafil, and Triple Action Sildenafil + Tadalafil + Vardenafil. Your healthcare provider will recommend an option based on your health history, treatment goals, desired timing, and previous response to medication 

 Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil belong to a class of medications called PDE5 inhibitors. They improve blood flow to the penis, helping you achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.

These medications support the physical erectile response but do not automatically produce an erection or directly increase sexual desire.

 Sildenafil is an on-demand medication commonly known by the brand name Viagra®. It is generally taken before anticipated sexual activity and typically provides several hours of erectile support.

Sildenafil may be a good option for men who want a well-established, shorter-duration treatment used only when needed. A high-fat meal may delay how quickly it begins working.

 Tadalafil, commonly known by the brand name Cialis®, provides a longer period of erectile support than Sildenafil or Vardenafil. Its effects may remain available for up to 36 hours, allowing greater flexibility and spontaneity.

Depending on the prescribed treatment plan, Tadalafil may be taken as needed or in a lower-dose daily formulation. It does not cause a continuous erection; sexual stimulation is still required.

 Vardenafil, commonly associated with the brand name Levitra®, is an on-demand medication that supports blood flow and erectile function. It works similarly to Sildenafil but may provide a different response or tolerability profile for some men.

Vardenafil may be considered when a patient has not achieved the desired response with another medication or when the provider determines it is a better fit for the patient’s individual needs.

 All three medications support erectile function by improving blood flow, but they differ in onset, duration, and how each person responds:

• Sildenafil: A shorter-duration, on-demand option. 
• Tadalafil: Provides the longest treatment window—potentially up to 36 hours—and may also be prescribed for daily use. 
• Vardenafil: An on-demand option that may offer a different response or side-effect profile for certain patients. 

There is no single medication that works best for everyone. Your provider will help determine the most appropriate option.

 Dual Action is a compounded capsule containing both Sildenafil and Tadalafil. It is designed to combine Sildenafil’s on-demand support with Tadalafil’s longer treatment window.

Because this formulation contains two PDE5 inhibitors, it must be taken only as prescribed. Patients should not add separate doses of Sildenafil, Tadalafil, Vardenafil, or another erectile dysfunction medication unless specifically directed by their healthcare provider.

 Triple Action is a compounded formulation containing Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil. It is intended for appropriately selected patients who may benefit from a customized, multi-medication approach.

Triple Action is not automatically stronger or more appropriate for every patient. A medical evaluation is required to determine whether the formulation is safe and suitable based on cardiovascular health, other medications, previous treatment response, and potential side effects.

 Do not combine separate doses of Sildenafil, Tadalafil, Vardenafil, or other erectile dysfunction medications on your own. Taking multiple PDE5 inhibitors can increase the risk of low blood pressure and other adverse effects.

Combination therapy should only be used when prescribed as a specifically formulated medication, such as Dual Action or Triple Action, and taken exactly according to your provider’s instructions.

 Onset varies by medication, formulation, food intake, dose, and individual response. Sildenafil and Vardenafil are generally used before anticipated sexual activity, while Tadalafil provides a longer window of support.

Follow the instructions provided with your prescription. Do not take an additional dose simply because the medication does not work immediately.

 Common side effects may include:

• Headache 
• Facial flushing 
• Nasal congestion 
• Indigestion or upset stomach 
• Dizziness 
• Temporary visual changes 
• Back or muscle discomfort, particularly with Tadalafil 

Contact your healthcare provider if side effects are persistent or concerning. Seek immediate medical attention for chest pain, sudden changes in vision or hearing, severe dizziness, or an erection lasting longer than four hours.

 PDE5 inhibitors must not be used with nitrate medications, including nitroglycerin, because the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Certain heart conditions, blood-pressure medications, alpha-blockers, kidney or liver conditions, and medication interactions may also affect treatment eligibility.

Vardenafil requires additional consideration for patients with certain heart-rhythm conditions or medications that affect the QT interval. Always provide your healthcare provider with a complete list of medications and supplements.
